Conor Clinch

Photographer based in Paris

Conor Clinch is an Irish photographer and director based in Paris. His work tends to concern fashion or fine art and is inspired by sustainability, heritage, and human connection. “As a young kid I always had a deep fascination with marine life and ocean preservation,” he says. “Sustainability is at the core of my work now, and I like to work with brands who are improving their impact on the planet. I also love to photograph precious items - antiques, jewelry - things that last.”

In 2023, Conor presented his debut solo exhibition Sanctuary, created in partnership with the Natural History Museum in London. The project explored the beauty and fragility of molluscs, pairing archival shells with the human body to reflect how shells have been used across centuries for protection and currency. “It was a labour of hard work and something that came with a lot of doubt,” he says.

His commercial clients include Burberry, Gucci, Maison Margiela Fragrances, Manolo Blahnik, Swarovski and Jimmy Choo. Alongside fashion work, he pursues socially engaged projects, such as documenting resilience and recycling in Mumbai’s Dharavi district. He has photographed leading cultural figures from Malala to Skepta, with Bethann Hardison among his most inspiring sitters.
