A stylist and fashion consultant based in New York City, Elissa Santisi began her career at Harper’s Bazaar in the 90s and went on to become style director at American Vogue for ten years. Over this period, she is particularly proud of the work she did with photographer Raymond Meier. “We were totally in sync and doing things that hadn’t been done before,” says Santisi. “It was an exciting time for me.” Working with Helmut Newton is also a career highlight. Elissa was struck by his startlingly inventive ideas and humble resources.

She is inspired by the East Coast cool of the music and clothing rooted in her Philadelphia background. Across her long and rich career, she has collaborated with photographers such as Inez & Vinoodh, and Alex Prager and styled everyone from Kate Moss to Melissa McCarthy. Now, as an independent fashion editor, she contributes to the likes of Hommes Girl and V Magazine. On her days off, she likes to wear preppy classics that channel 1960s Steve McQueen.
