Jon Clements is a London-based director whose work spans Europe, Asia and the US. Blending technical precision with a distinctive visual style, Jon creates films that feel polished, cinematic and emotionally engaging. His approach is collaborative and story-led, with a strong instinct for detail, rhythm and atmosphere that brings clarity and personality to every project.
After studying film in the UK, Jon began his career at MTV, where he directed everything from skate films to fashion, sport and music content. Those early years helped shape the energetic, visually driven style that still defines his work today.
"My passion for film is rooted in discovering the story, finding the visual thread and exploring it's possibilities. It's a constant evolution of process and medium which I love"
Music has always been a big part of Jon’s creative world.
Alongside commercial work, he has directed documentaries including Massive Attack’s Horace, Andy: Beyond The Flood and Lily Allen’s Still Alright — projects that reflect his interest in honest human stories and intimate, authentic storytelling. His short film This Is Not A Suit premiered during London Fashion Week before being selected for the international short film category at the Sundance Film Festival, highlighting his ability to bridge cinematic storytelling with fashion and culture.
Jon has directed films for leading global fashion, luxury and beauty brands including Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, COS, Max Mara, Versus Versace, Ferragamo, Diesel, Breitling, Longines, TUMI, Huawei, MAC, Estée Lauder, KIKO, Max Factor and Rimmel. Editing is also a key part of Jon’s creative process.
He cuts much of his own work, treating the edit as an essential stage where emotion, pacing and meaning come together.
"For me the edit is often the best part of the process. It's a space where the possible, the foreseen and the unforeseen meld and create something unique, that's exciting"
A multi-disciplinary creative and image-maker, Jon works across directing, creative direction, editing and publishing.
He is also a founding member of the Milk Projects design collective, creators of the sneaker book Size Isn’t Everything, and is currently developing its follow-up, Next Size Up!.
While Jon’s work is rooted in fashion, luxury, sport and beauty, his portfolio also spans music, documentary, runway and short film. Whatever the format, his films share the same signature approach — visually striking, emotionally grounded and always connected to the heart of the story.
